中村軒 'Nakamuraken'

I went to a famous Kyoto sweets and tea restaurant called "nakamuraken" a few days ago. Converted from an old Japanese house, the restaurant offers a classic, unique flair in the traditional Japanese style. I love relaxing in this quiet, charming place, eating crushed ice and chatting with friends.

  1. You know what amazed me the most when my husband and I went to Japanese a few years ago? The food that we ordered looked almost the same as the food models that they displayed. It only showed how serious Japanese chefs are with their foods. That helped me to order as well since I don't understand Japanese.

  2. They do look very real. Somtimes I'll touch them or pick them up, just to make sure. Food modeling is an art in itself in Japan, and is also taken very seriously!
